Reboundaries and Resilience:
Enhancing Skills
that Foster Boundary Recognition, Determination and GRIT! !

SPEAKER BIO:  Julia is a former teacher and school counselor, and is now an international speaker and one of the world’s foremost authors of guidance storybooks for children. She is always seeking creative ways to connect with people and impart valuable life lessons. Her imaginative stories are extremely engaging to all ages, leading her to publish over eighty successful storybooks, earning numerous national awards and recognition. The goal of Julia’s books is to enter the world view of children and teach them to become life-long problem solvers.

ABOUT THIS SESSION: Join Julia as she presents, Reboundaries and Resilience: Enhancing Skills that Foster Boundary Recognition, Determination and GRIT! Julia will provide creative ideas to answer the following questions:

  • How do we accomplish the great task of teaching our kids the BIG LIST of everything they need to know and succeed in life when they believe that all of their needs are being met through screen time?
  • How do we teach our kids online safety? How do we allow technology to add to our children’s life as opposed to taking from it?
  • How do we create an environment where kids genuinely “want it” more than we want it for them?
In her research-based keynote, Julia takes a look at how creative world-class parents and educators are answering these questions and helping children thrive with strength and confidence in their ever-changing world!!

Amie Dean

She holds a Masters degree in Education and is Nationally Board Certified as an Exceptional Needs Specialist. With 21 years experience as an educator and 10 years as a professional consultant, Amie has worked with thousands of teachers, counselors and administrators in over 250 districts to improve best practices in behavior support, student engagement, and differentiated instruction. Amie has trained with Dr. Rick DuFour, Dr. Kay Burke, Dr. Spencer Kagan, Dr. Ruby Payne, and many others..

ABOUT THIS SESSION: Join Amie as she presents, Behavior Interventions that Work. Counselors and Educators throughout the country are facing questions they never thought they would have to ask. “Why are students giving up so easily?” “Why can’t I get them to comply?” This seminar is designed to provide counselors, teachers, and administrators with research based strategies to employ immediately to create a positive school climate. These are practical, hands-on strategies to use with students who have suffered trauma, have behavior challenges, or just need positive interactions to motivate them to put forth increased effort AND develop self belief.
