SPEAKER AND COUNSELOR
Leigh Bagwell is the Director of School Counseling Services, College, Career and Technical Education Division of the Tennessee Department of Education. She is leading transformational work in school counseling throughout the state. Her goal is to provide every school counselor with the training and resources needed to deliver high quality, student driven, data informed comprehensive school counseling programs to all Tennessee students. Leigh’s experience includes working with national experts through College Board’s “Own the Turf” and Urban School Counseling Initiative and most recently, the White House’s Reach Higher Convening on increasing college access and success. Leigh has 20 years of experience in counseling, including working at the elementary and secondary levels at Rutherford County Schools.
