The cool thing about this book is that it is not just for school counselors or therapists. It is actually very much administrator focused. This book even has how to handle suicide in a virtual environment. Very relevant and fresh!

This book is SO great! 15 minutes is a manageable amount of time with my crazy busy schedule and it also comes with the ability to download resources that are actually usable! The research and knowledge put into this book are top notch and it is very easy to read and apply to my current position as a school counseling department chair. There are not many books that after reading I feel like I can plan and take necessary steps to improve my office’s counseling program but this is one! Even at the most simple level, the language suggested and small starting step strategies are to be put into place y any school counselor. I also love that there is a discussion of what is being done at the district level because if there are not suicide prevention strategies in place, a counselor can advocate to get programs implemented to best support their students. GREAT book! Thank you for creating this for school counselors everywhere!

As a suicide prevention educator, I was VERY impressed with the book. This book should be available for all educators. It is chalked full of information for school counselors, support staff, adminstrators and teachers on how to prevent a suicide, what to do if a student is expressing suicidal ideation and what to do after a suicide occurs. This book is a quick and easy read, yet SO important. It is imperative that we as educators are knowledgeable on this topic.
