Tricia Murin

Dr. Tricia Murin has been in the field of education for 29 years as an elementary/middle school teacher, elementary/middle school guidance counselor, elementary/high school principal, a curriculum director and is currently the Assistant Superintendent for the Central Cambria School District.

Her publications include “If You’re Bothered and You Know It” published through YouthLight, Inc. This book was illustrated by Ms. Sam Elkin, a graduate from Central Cambria, and A-Z for OCD, an essential for parents or professionals who want to help children experience Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) tendencies. It is a fun and helpful read for any child that has experienced OCD. The whimsical characters help children realize that having OCD does not need to be seen as negative. It will help them understand that there are several positive strategies they can use to deal with it. Also included are topic suggestions for personal journaling and a note to families that have a family member with OCD.

Tricia was the 2005 – Pennsylvania School Counselor Association – Multi-Level School Counselor of the Year.
